I forgot how good this restaurant was. I went to the restaurant for a Sunday dinner. I ordered chicken, cabbage and mashed potatoes. I was very impressed that I didn't have to wait long and the chicken seemed as if it was right out of the oil. I've always loved the cabbage here with cornbread. The service was good, glad I went back because I ordered it on DoorDash and was disappointed. If you have had this restaurant, I would definitely recommend a try.
They were QUICK! Reasonably priced takeout good for single or family meals with a drive through making this a convenient option. The man taking orders was SO KIND. So kind that his personality alone is enough to make me want to come back. I felt care from their staff, which will trump an experience for me. All the food was at the very least good with various opinions of each. I had chicken tenders, greens, Mac, sweet potatoes, cornbread, and strawberry cake. The Mac needs a special shout-out as it truly may be the best and creamiest macaroni I have ever had!!!
I had a carryout order that went very smoothly. The order was ready and accurate upon arrival. I ordered a pork chop meal with Mac & cheese and green beans as my sides. The meal also came with cornbread that unfortunately I did not eat because it was burnt. Other than the burnt cornbread, everything else met my expectations. The pork chops were cooked to perfection and the sides were flavorful and well proportioned. I would eat here again, but I will surely check my cornbread before leaving.

Man 5 stars all across the board. I had the whiting fried fish dinner. My sides were Mac and cheese and yams and They didn't miss anything. Fish breading and cook was perfect . Yams and Mac and cheese perfect . Sweet tea, perfect.service perfect. This is what the expectation is when you want some good soul food. ‼.
This place has legit fried fish and shrimp. The greens were perfect. Mac and cheese satisfying. The cornmeal pancake topped everything off. The staff was friendly and all was super clean. Highly recommended.
Good so good. That's all. I usually get their catfish or chicken tenders which are bomb. I got a hamburger and it is so good. It comes with fries but I got green beans because their green beans are the best
Walk up and order at the counter. I had Fried catfish, greens, macNcheese, and sweet potatoes. Fish was crisp and had excellent flavor. Sweet potato's we're the best I've had and the greens were right there too. The macNcheese was something special. A must stop!
